Silver for Metamorphosis Monday

I want to thank Susan for hosting Metamorphosis Monday. Just click the butterfly in my sidebar to take you there. I was thinking what should we post about today? And then I looked up on my china hutch & knew the answer in a glance. How can something so beautiful become sooooooooooooooooooooo Ugly?
This is my vintage Tipping Tea Pot & it has been pulled in the kitchen for a Metamorphosis. It is in serious need!

And my tea strainer & pretty little Reed & Barton spoons.


Much better! A little silver polish & a lot of time later this is the result.

My treasured Reed & Barton spoons that I found at an Antique Mall for a steal of a deal! Don't you just love the flower detail? I DO!

The strainer is ready for a cup of tea.

Everything is ready for a Tea Party. Maybe I will do a Tablescape Thursday with these goodies soon. Thank you for visiting & I hope you have a wonderful week my dear friends.

    Your tipping tea pot is so beautiful! How industrious of you- I just say I love the patina of tarnished silver and let it be!!LOL!

    That is a gorgeous teapot and everything cleaned up beautifully! You know what, I am seeing a lot of tarnished silver out there and it is paired with white dishes and called a country French look. I will have to get used to that look....is it really okay to display tarnished silver? Hmmmmm...might be. Linda

    Hubby is heading to Dallas for several days of business. We are hoping for some rain soon.

    What sort of polish do you use? My silver just will not come out as well as yours.

    That tipping tea pot is wonderful! Don't you love cleaning silver, Charlene? I mean... it can be gruling work, but I LOVE watching the transformation from ugly and smelly to shiny!!

    Thanks so much for stopping by our blog and commenting on my old condo's kitchen remodel. So you and your husband are thinking about remodeling your kitchen & bathroom? It can be a stressful process, but it can also be fun. I've also found that improving the home you have - making it work for your family's needs - can often be a better choice then selling for something else... chances are teh new house won't be perfect either. :-)

    I am absolutely GREEN with envy over your silver!! They are some of the most gorgeous piecs I've ever seen! I have a few pieces myself that I keep polished just because I like the look of the "real" stuff! :-) Thanks for stoppin' by the cabin too! :-) L~

    They look lovely, Charlene! Though I have to admit that I'm pretty fond of tarnished silver, too, because of the carnival color reflections it gives off and also because I'm too lazy to polish stuff myself (but DH loves doing it!).
