A Busy Time…
Can you believe that tonight is the last episode of the season???? Downton Abbey is my all time FAVORITE thing to watch right now. I ADORE the settting, the clothes, the hats, the characters'… all of it. But, darn it only started back up in January (here in the US). SEVEN Shows in all…. Come on PBS you can do better than that.
I wish I was Cora sitting there having tea. Not a care in the world but, I’m busy as a bee. If I can grab a cup of coffee I’m doing good. I’m packing like a fool. We sign on the new (well new to us) house on February 22 & take possession on the 27th.
What am I most excited about?
Not a very glamorous photo of the new workshop (that’s hubby & the architect heading out to check things out.
And right now…. the current owner has this full of boy toys but, that will change!!!! LOVE the sky lights with all that natural light. This will be an amazing workshop/studio. I will have room to spread out! I will have room to set up places for sooooooooooo many of you to come play. I have soooooooooooooooo many plans, dreams & ideas.
The back yard has plenty of room for the expansion of another connecting building… And although the grass is dormant since this was taken in January… I have so many plans for all this space. It’s 2.5 acres in all. It’s not Downton Abbey but, I can’t wait to start making it look & feel like home. And believe me… THERE IS MUCH TO DO! I’ll share before & after photos as we go. Have a great week.
HUGS! Charlene

Hi Charlene, I haven't stopped by for a while and had a LOT of catching up to do! You've been so busy, having lots of fun! Your new house looks magnificent! And oooohhh, the possibilities for your new studio space! Have you been following the progress of Cathe Holden (Just Something I Made)and her re-doing a similar building on her property for a gigantic studio and workshop space? I envy both of you. Now you'll have so much room to do LOTS of shopping and collecting!! GOod luck with all the packing and moving in your busy weeks ahead.

Oh, fabulous! What a lucky girl you are,Charlene! I've got ONE flat acre, and after 7 years, I'm STILL trying to fill it up! I know you'll beautify that spot in NO time!
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible studio you'll have! Can't wait to see what you do with all that yummy space!
And Downton Abbey...don't even get me started! Seriously an addiction of mine...so sad it's over for the year! All period dramas--you should see my dvd collection--it's ridiculous!
Wishing you a wonderful day, dear friend!
Julie

I'll so miss Maggie Smith and Mr. Carlton until the next season. What I always come away with after watching show like this is the time that was spent, just over tea. No phones, no junk mail, no tv, nothing to distract them from living a life feeling connected to those they loved. On another note OMG, the studio is coming.........xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteI am just now getting back to reading Blogs so I am loving catching up on what you have been doing!
Sending Love,
LuLu~*xoxo
