As I'm looking at these photos I am still trying to remind myself that this was in JULY that I was seeing these amazing flowers flourishing everywhere around me!
Fuschias just dripping with beautiful BRIGHT cascading color! Here in Texas I have tried to grow these in a hanging basket EARLY IN THE SPRING! And although I LOVE them I always know they are short lived because they can't take the heat. By April these are toast in Texas. Here... they thrive in July. It just doesn't seem fair.
Different hanging basket with a HUGE variety of different flowers. Each & everyone prettier than the next.
Or just a single bloom in a pot ready to be taken home & put in your chosen location.
I wanted one of almost everything I saw here! I hope you enjoyed this little bit of Rogers Garden & another part of Cynthia's tour of her stomping grounds! You know how to show a Texas Girl around girlfriend. Now go join Susan & the others playing Outdoor Wednesday by clicking on the button in my sidebar.
wow..love these flowers and yes! some of these look like silk! Just beautiful! Glad you had a good time :)

I also recently returned home from California...it is such a beautiful state! You saw such pretty flowers...my hydrangeas did not do well this summer.
ReplyDeleteHappy Outdoor Wednesday!
What a lovely garden. I would have enjoyed being along on this trip with you and friend.
ReplyDeleteHi Charlene, What beautiful gardens! A faulous trip to be shared with friends:-)
ReplyDeleteIsn't Karen the best! I love your design, your header is gorgeous, and the twinkles on your wallpaper is perfectly magical!!
Thanks for your kind words! The header is my garden the little green building, is a storage/garden shed.
Thanks for your visit!

I have heard that Rodgers is an amazing place. Lucky you! Sounds like a wonderful trip.
ReplyDeleteThe garden is gorgeous so is your new pic of you on your side bar!!!!
ReplyDeleteRodger's Garden looks like my kind of place. Living in CA has it's perks when it comes to gardening. I usually have blooms all year long, but nothing that looks as pretty as what you find at a great nursery! Thanks for sharing those pics.
ReplyDeleteI'd love it if you'd drop by for a visit sometime.

Oh I was just at Rogers Garden last month. That place is just unreal. All the plants and then all of the wonderful pots to put them in. They had such wonderful home decor too. I loved that place. Glad you had a great time. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteMy dear friend...i've been thinking about you and Larry. I hope he is feeling better and healing. I love the gorgeous flowers in your posting. I have those beautiful blue hydrangeas (sp?) in my garden. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a bit of news to share...
I've been a bit crazed these past couple of weeks! Tomorrow is the Today Show segment featuring my vintage hair combs by Daily Candy! I've posted the info on my blog. I'm excited and also a bit intimidated by the exposure this will bring to my jewelry line! Eeeek!!!
When this dies down I will write more in a private email to catch up with you.

I found you through Outdoor Wed and just love your blog, I live in the NW and have those beautiful flowers you blogged about and better not take them for granted anymore...also your lovely Reba passed on my birthday. My beloved Kramer passed last Sept on one of my best friends birthday and I have been thinking of doing a post on him, but I love your button on Reba, glad I found that, now I know what I will do. Thank you new friend
ReplyDeleteThat blue is my favorite too !!

Oh Rogers Gardens is one of my favorite places to go. They have a lot of flowers that my local nursery doesn't carry. I'm glad you had a nice visit!
