Gilded Life Stash Box Arrived!

Gilded Life Stash

I told you in a previous post that I was excited about joining the Gilded Girls Stash Society & the first box arrived. You can find the details on my sidebar by clicking the button or the highlighted name above. It took awhile to have the free time to spread it all out to enjoy the beauty the box held.SONY DSC

I laid it all out on my kitchen island & I absolutely014

Drooling yet? Not only do they send you treasures… but, there is a private BLOG where they have tutorials that they share ideas of creating things made from the items in your STASH. And then there is the Flicker Group where we can share photos & ideas….010

Buttons & Glitter… does life get better than that?016

Is it cheap? NO! But, as my friend Jan & I discussed… you could spend a fortune in fuel & time going around looking for this stuff. And the quality & detail is divine. Space in the society is very limited. I have signed up for at least a 3 month commitment & I am thrilled with my first box. Speaking of Jan… we had discussed that we both had MANY unfinished projects from Art Events & personal projects we had started. We challenged each other to get together at least once a month or more to CRAFT & do some of these things. I have found it is far more fun to craft with a friend than alone. Are you the same way? I would love to hear your thoughts & ideas on this subject… please share them with me.Picnik collage Crowndalier Here is the project we worked on last week. The Crowndalier from the last Gilded Life Event in October. YES, you heard me right October! Mine had been Msitting on top of my dryer loosing glitter since then. I am now about 98% complete & Jan’s is about 75% I would love to have planned another play date but, since we are living in a freezer(the temp tonight is supposed to be 8 degrees) most folks are staying off the icy roads & staying inside (there are many rolling power outages too). But, I think I won’t complain because so many of you are having it even worse. 2 FEET of snow in Chicago… YIKES! I think I’ll head in & have some homemade cabbage soup for lunch. STAY WARM & STAY SAFE!!!!!!!!!!!

HUGS! Charelne

  2. What a lovely box of little treasures, you are going to have a ball, if you haven't started crafting already!

I hope you stay warm tonight...our temps are dipping, too. And the blizzard we had last night left walls of snow from the drifting. But we all survived and actually had a pleasant evening in front of the fire. ;-D

    XO,
    Janie

  4. That stuff on the bar looks delicious!!! Your right it does take a lot of time and gas to find some of that good stuff. I can't wait to see what you do with it. I know it will be gorgeous!!
I can't wait for this weather to clear up and get out of this deep freeze. I don't do well in winter, it is too depressing. I love SUNSHINE!!
    See you next week.

  9. Hi Charlene! My GGSS stash caused the same reaction when my box arrived! Aren't we lucky! Except that the ice and snow here in VA knocked out our electricity for several days, and I've been doing way more shoveling than crafting lately. :) Hope you stay warm until we see each other at Moulin Rouge!

  10. Wow... How much fun is that????? I have developed this problem. I find that I am hoarding any found goodies to craft with! I mean... what if I can't replace them?? I think I would have a hard time using all those beautiful things. But that's silly! That's what they are for!
Your crown is lovely. And yes, playing with a friend is much more fun than playing alone. (Although I do seem to get so much more done when I am by myself.) I am so happy to have 2 friends who help me back into the studio, and away from the computer!!!
I'm sorry to hear you guys are freezing there too. It's not quite that bad here. But still cold for us. Highs in the high 40's and low's about 28-32. It's okay though... we're supposed to be back up into the 70,s by Saturday!
    xo,
    Karen

  16. Those girls really know how to put together beautiful things to create with!

It truly is much more fun creating with someone else. I live so far from civilization that I have to entertain myself whilst being creative.....and of course, I always have an audience with the babies around!

I can't wait to see your Crowndalier!

    Love,
    LuLu~*xoxo

I have drooled over every one of your pictures. And I agree!! Crafting with a friend is much more fun...and junking too. I am lucky my best friend (Jill) Lives so close so we can often.
