MET MONDAY A New Door

Welcome to my home & Metamorphosis Monday hosted by my friend Susan. To see who else is playing Met Monday please visit Susan by clicking on the button on my sidebar.
My "Honey" has been on vacation & spending money like a CRAZY MAN! He has been bugging me about a new front door for at least a year. He talked AT me until I gave in. Here is the old one that he says is showing deterioration. But, the neighbor next door (that he can't stand) got a new door & THAT fueled the fire. HE HAD TO HAVE ONE! So the HUNT was on!
With no wreath. Do you see deterioration?
The NEW one in the RAW.
Do you see $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ signs?
Well, here she is! All finished.
And here is "Honey" & Ms Reba showing you the new door. Sorry the photo is a bit fuzzy.
The light does shine a welcoming glow. OK, don't tell him but, I LOVE MY NEW DOOR!

I have seen the new door and it is so much more beautiful in person as the pictures don't do it the wonderful justice it deserves. What you didn't tell them is the door matches your gorgeous wooden floors perfectly when opened and creates a wonderful rich look and feel.....and a very welcome feeling! I was smitten....... Nice job, Larry!

Oh Charlene! I love that door too. It just looks so welcoming as you come to it. I think you better keep this one. Isn't it funny how men have to out go the neighbors? The neighbor gets something new, then the hubby has to get something new. Men!! But you know what, this time it paid off for you. You got a great deal and a NEW DOOR. Country Hugs my friend, Sherry

I think a front door is a huge reflection of what's beyond. That door makes me want to see inside! Great job!

Yes, I saw $$$ signs, and the new door is very pretty! The neighbor got your man going. And the results are amazing! (Maybe encourage the neighbor to add something else you've secretly been pining for...)

I must say that your husband was right all along. The new door looks fabulous. (Although the old door didn't look completely awful, it was sort of PLAIN JANE.)
Thanks for sharing.

Oh Hi Charlene!
We stayed at a lovely B&B called By the Sea. We were there for 7 days. It was so much fun. We went horseback riding in the Rain Forest. We took the Boat MailRun in Gold Beach. We had the best time setting on the veranda of this house. It sat right on the Ocean, and we spent time watching a family of sea lions sun on the rocks every afternoon. We drove and took many little tours. I think we loved just being at the beach. It was just so beautiful. I searched high and low for sea glass but did not find any, so ofcourse I bought mine. The one thing I noticed though, is there are not many shells there. Not many at all. I sure did see a lot of drift wood though that I would've loved for my garden. I am going to post several of the pics tonight for the Outdoor Wednesday post and then the others maybe next week. I will not be able to post all of them. That is usually how it goes. It was the most relaxed beautiful place I have ever been to. See ya tomorrow. Country Hugs and Love, Sherry
