The apron brigade… Or otherwise known… some of the sweetest Rodeo Queens around.
Sandy, Cindy & I took off south for Spring Round Top 2012 on Saturday morning. Both vehicles blasted off with a huge YIPPPPEEE! We got to the hotel for check in about 3:00. We hit the fields for a “quick fix” & headed off to an invitation only special event hosted by the gals from Petticoats on the Prairie. Our buddy Kristi Day had invited Cindy & she said she was with us soooooooooooo we all got invited. We can’t thank you enough Kristi & Rodeo Queens from Petticoats on the Prairie.
We drove quite a way out of town. Turning on tiny country roads thinking the GPS had surely made a mistake but, NO!!! We found the spot. An adorable little house that is now a B&B owned by Janie’s (on the left below)sweet sister Linda(right) who is lucky enough to live in Round Top. Linda’s adorable dress was made like a patchwork quilt. Isn’t it darling & worn with her boots…………….
This was the table set up with all the dinner boxes. The girls made all these goodies themselves. If you’ve ever been to Round Top you know that there is NOT enough places to eat & the few there is are so crowded it’s impossible to get in on Saturday night. These angels made sandwiches, chips, & an apple to slice with your very own little jar of dipping sauce… caramel, cream cheese & heath bars all smashed together.
I have borrowed some photos from different girls & I thank you for the loan as I didn’t get hardly any of my own for this event. I guess I was having too much fun.
Adorable name badges from vintage quilts & other wonderful fabrics were made for each guest.
Tables set in the yard with candles & flowers… What a beautiful place to sit & visit. To make new friendships under the beautiful Texas sky.
Below, Krisi & Cindy enjoying the evening. Again, thank you for the invite you two.
Last but, not least it’s getting dark (the photo get’s a bit grainy) my California girl (Sandy)is having a great first night in Round Top & so am I.
And we’re all ready to head to bed with dreams of shopping dancing through our heads. Come back for more tales of Round Top coming soon.
Hugs! Charlene

Looks like all you gals had a fun time. You have on a sleeveless dress, we still are covered with snow here and it's not going away anytime soon. Take care my friend. Nan

Hi Charlene,
My sister and I were there also (Elaine and Betsy of Sisters Treasures). It truly was a special night and I'm sad that I didn't get to meet everyone there. I'm not sure if we were introduced because the night became a blur after 10 show days, so hopefully next time.
We had so much fun and also felt honored to be invited. (I didn't take a single picture, but the Rodeo Queens have some great ones).
Betsy
