Sissi - Elisabeth of Bavaria

Welcome to my new Blog Design by my amazingly talented friend Karen Valentine of Valentine Design. I had loved my Paris themed design before but, I wanted a change of color & feel. I had loved my Marie banner last year but, I am kind of tired of Marie. And I have always loved Sisi otherwise known as Princess Elizabeth of Austria. Hubby & I had the pleasure of seeing her amazing castles when we took a cruise down the Danube River years ago. I fell in love with her at this time & have thought her my favorite ROYAL since then (except of course I loved Princess Diana which like Sisi was more popular than her husband & was viewed with much jealousy) Watch the UTube Video above & see if you don't think she's wonderful too. She was a woman before her time to be sure! I had asked Karen to use the image of Sisi, a crown, a chandelier & some other royal things (Karen found the papers used in the banner & they are actual receipts for purchasing cosmetics by Sisi. Karen found the receipt's from an auction held in 2009 where someone purchased Sisi's actual receipts - I just love the attention to detail that Karen uses) & I am thrilled with the out come. Another Blog re-do done by Karen is for my friend Pat at My Tattered Elegance. I hope you enjoy the video & let me know what you think. Royal Hugs to ALL!

I love what Karen did to mine. Now I need to get busy and put some sale items on.
My girl friend from Virginia is coming in tomorrow. So I guess I will be busy for a week or so.
I'll call you.

I love your new blog design and I have seen a few that Karen has made and I love those, too. The story of Elisabeth is very interesting (I was a fan of Princess Diana as well). I can see why you adore her.

I may just have to have Karen do a makeover on my blog. Well maybe after a year or so...have to get my money's worth out of this one!

OH CHARLENE THIS IS GORGEOUS! I so love it!!!! You know, I love the idea of changing queens from time to time! There are so many lovely ones around!!!! The banner and the little crown at the bottom of the post are just marvelous. Top notch, job well done! Oh, I have missed you! I know about BUSY....I try juggling a full-time teaching job with transporting my husband to and from work and then trying to keep up with my writing and illustrating! But what a nice surprise to see you and come to see your new look!

Have a lovely evening dearest! Anita

Gorgeous new blog, Charlene--how regal! Perfect for Princess Sissi...so glad you introduced me to her! I consider myself pretty royalty savvy, but I don't know Sissi! Love those portraits of her with her hair flowing--how beautiful!

Thanks for sharing all the videos--so fun to see! Hope you're having a wonderful night!

Striking! It has a very come hither look to it...Karen did an outstanding job. My MIL, who's Austrian, is reading a book about this fascinating woman...I'll probably read it when she's done.
Have a wonderful week Charlene.
