I just read a wonderful post by my precious friend Diana Frey that I think shares some very interesting & important information about women & the friendships they create. It also states that this bond has some very interesting health benefits & that men do not have the same sort of bonds with their friends. So please go HERE to read this post by my amazing friend. Diana (& Riki) thank you for sharing this. Also, this gives me a perfect opportunity to thank each & every one of you for your friendship & the blessing of having you brought into my life. YOU DO MAKE A DIFFERENCE!!!!! Have a wonderful week. And thank you to Karen of The Graphic Fairy for the image above (don't these girls look like they are a group of friends sharing & enjoying life?). She is such a giving & generous soul.

Charlene, you are so true, I just left this comment for Diana...I just thought I would paste it here so you could see what I said to her! Sorry I haven't been around.....I have been kind of sick, but I am on the mend!!!
Here is what I wrote to her....Diana, this is so true, I think about the women I have met through my blog, and I feel so grateful! Even though I may never or may take years to meet them I have a bond that is stronger then most of my relationships I have ever girls are supportive and kind, understanding and inspirational....
I have always felt that the sisterhood of blogging has brought me together with women of like mind that I would otherwise never know...we are bonded my our hopes and dreams and love of the arts!!
I am always inspired and yet comforted to know what is happening in your me you represent the creative artistic sister that I lost years ago. I know this sounds kind of strange but it is true...I look up to you and Charlene both like that, I am always so impressed by the amount of talent you two have!
I can't imagine my husband understanding or even listening to me when I say things like this!!!!
The power of girlfriends is very real, we are a dynamic group of friends!!

Hi Charlene! Thanks for stopping by my blog....and I see you are friends with Riki - actually Riki was interested in my yorkies too - but the logistics of it all wouldn't have worked. :( I see she has a sweet little havanese girl now - too cute!
And yes, Holly is a blog friend - I have one of her adorable aprons in my possession! I just love her work. It looks like you ALL had a great time at the mermaid event in southern cali - how I miss my california roots!
Anyways, must get back to puppy sitting!

Here's to many more long conversations and emails.

I definitely agree. You know the feeling when you walk into a room full of unwelcoming people? Especially when they are in groups or cliques? You'd wish your friends are around. :)

Charlene you have done such a wonderful job bringing "Les Sirenes" to life on your blog. Love the pictures, prose and philosophizing! Sun hasn't shined in SF since I returned but reading your blog makes the sun shine from inside. Can't wait to see your next posts!
