You Couldn’t Wipe The Smile Off Her Face!

SONY DSC

Ms Elle was thinking life was pretty good while she rode around Lake Texoma last week! This lake is HUGE! It straddles the border of Texas & Oklahoma & has MILES of cool water! And it’s a good thing because it is hard being a little black dog when it’s super hot. Momma had to keep Ms Elle wet to keep her cool outside. Above you see her surveying the lake from “her perch” on the back of the boat.

Sometimes she would just sit on the seat & look out the front.

When Daddy goes fast it makes wind in you hair! But, it doesn’t bother your nap if you ear is flying up over your head….

Truck & Trailer collage

Last week we took our “Maiden Voyage” with our new Outback 5th Wheel Trailer & our son pulled our deck boat. This gave us a place to stay right on the lake & it was perfect.

The Captin collage

The Captain & his First Mates were ready to hit the water.

“Little Bit” held Ms Elle.

It wasn’t long & The Captain killed the engine & those two mates SCURRIED up that ladder as fast as they could (that hard top holds 600 pounds & is perfect as a diving platform & stargazing perch). Soon the sound of “The Flying Frog” could be heard… Thud Thud Thud SPLASH!DSC04260

Pretty soon… it was toes up in the water.

We are looking forward to a lot more fun with these guys this summer.

In the mean time… Elle & I plan on being wet to stay cool, no makeup, swimsuits & a hat…

What do you have planned for this summer?

STAY COOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s supposed to be 101 tomorrow & the next day! And WHY do I live in Texas in the summer?????????

HUGS! Charlene

I love your puppy!!!! Elle reminds me so much of my Bella Bleu. Her fluffiness and her sweet face makes me feel like my puppy does. I love Elle's coloring too. So beautiful. Your lake sounds like one that my Dad would love. I grew up on his bass boats because he was a proffessional bass fisherman for a hobby. He won the Western U.S championships! I miss being on water. Your grandkids are adorable. I am your newest follower.

Well if you want to cool off you can come visit us we don't go over 65. Looks like everyone ended up having a grand old time there. This kind of a boat would get chewed up and spit out in this bay we have here, it's pretty wild out here.

Hi Charlene!
Oh my goodness that little Elle is so precious! They certainly do love being in the middle of all the fun and going on adventures don't they? Your pictures are so wonderful. A great documentation of a special time!

Little Phoebe is doing so great! Her fur was getting really long so yesterday I had the groomer cut her a lot shorter than normal. She looks so cute! She is a walking cartoon character with a big head and a little body.

I hope you're staying cool.

Hugs,
Holly

What a great family outing you had. And you got to stay in your new home away from home. Such fun! Miss Elle continues to be adorable. I do have to agree with Sandy ....where is the girl's bikini mommy. I am going to add to that...how about a hat and sun glasses? Hope that this is just the beginning of your summer adventures with your lovely family.

Hi Charlene,
Ain't a dogs life grand? What a lucky girl, I could go for a nice boat ride!!!
Ouch on that heat! We should get together and do some trades, I would take 20 degrees and send you rain 3 times a week???? We can't seem to get out of the 60's here and rain rain rain!!!
My new girl pups are Italian Greyhound, just one size smaller than whippets:-)
Stay Cool!!
Hugs,
Bella
